👋🏼 Hello there, I’m Jonathan
👨🏻💻 I’m a final year PhD student at the University of East Anglia
🔬 My research interests are in Multimodal Generative AI, particularly using audio and text for speech-to-gesture!
📚 I’m currently finishing my PhD Thesis titled Digital Humans: Automatic Character Animation, aiming to submit in April.
👔 Prior to the PhD, I was a Research Associate at the University of East Anglia focusing on the use of AI for user identification using keystroke dynamics. In 2017-2018 I was a Software Developer Intern at Boeing Defence UK where I gained experienced in an industry leading Research and Development business area.

New Publication!
My new publication “The UEA Digital Humans Entry to the GENEA Challenge 2023” is available in the proceedings of ICMI ‘23. I will be presenting this work at the conference in Paris next week.

Today I won runner-up in the Advanced Stage Category at UEAs PGR Day for my poster presenting “Style Conditioned Diffusion for Speech-To- Gesture Generation With Long-Term Context”. click here to see the poster!
